Hey guys, here we are again. 2009 is just beginning, and after the aftermath of the holidays the Georges are in serious gear about getting healthy. Of course Gus is as healthy as a horse. We had our 4 month appt Dec 23, Gus was 14 lbs, 8oz, 25 inches long, and in the 44th percentile for growth, which is crazy, cause he is so big. He is in 6 month clothes, the legs are a little long, but most of his length is in his torso... gee I wonder where he could of gotten that from, surely neither of his parents... Gus is rolling over like crazy, grabbing things, trying to sit up (he can't do it yet, it will be a while, but he's really trying) teething, and really talking. We aslo started solid foods right after Christmas, and he is taken to it very well. Even with the rice cereal, he usually needs a solid 10-11 ounces of formula before he goes to sleep, but he doesn't love to eat during the day. Oh and he found his toes, and he loves them, loves to talk to them and play with them. Grandma and Grandpa got him an exercauser for Christmas, there are pictures on Picasa of him enjoying it. He is so happy, and generally well behaved. He is a joy!
As for Rose and Willie, we are improving our health too. We just officially signed up for a family pass to the YMCA and have been taking advantage of the facilities. They have a great childwatch program too so Rose can go during the day and not have to worry about getting Dinner on the table, making it to small group and going to the gym. We have just welcomed a food scale to the kitchen (not even begrudginly.....) and are working to become disciplined people. Willie, who has been doing his daily blog for bible reading has inspired Rose to become accountable, and she has started her own blog following her food and exercise habbits. She really desires accountability and discipline in that area of her life. Check it out. Its under our profile here, or you can check it out at

Willie's job is about to move to their new location in Auburn later this month, and he is excited about that. He is also excited about tax return time, this being the first year we can claim a dependent. He also is planning to go at least monthly once the weather warms up to go play paintball in the outdoor fields. He is planning on gathering groups of 15-25 each month to get together and play at a field in South Prarie, WA.
The new year has many exciting things in store for us, at least 2 trips to Texas (this will mark the first Christmas Rose and Willie will have had in Texas since they were married in 2004,and Rose's sister and her family will be able to join them there as well!!!!). Rose will be traveling to SC with Gus in April to meet Jax, and she and Nora are going to be participating in a 10K. We are also looking forward to a visit from Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dale this summer. June will mark the William George's 5 year wedding anniversary (the same day as the Richard George's 27th wedding anniversary). Ringo will turn 5 in September.
All in all, 2009 is shaping up to be a very good year. God has blessed us beyond measure. There was a lot of stretch, a lot of growth internally for us in 2008, and we are happy and sad to see it pass. It was a fantastic and very hard year! What God has in store for us, we'll just have to wait and see, but we know that he is awesome, and whatever comes our way this year we can take, as long as we have him!
So here's to a bold new year, and a bold not-so-new but very disciplined and loving us. Stay tuned. We promise there won't be another 2 month gap in the postings, and as always check myspace or facebook for even more updates. God Bless
